You are a monster." (Name) stared speechless. Since when could she punch like that? She stepped back, maybe they were right, she stared at her fists and turned away, running up to the school gates, she glanced back and found herself bumping into someone. The stupid P.E teacher, (Name) stared at him for a while before running passed him dodging his attempts to stop her.

A few minutes after she stopped running and flopped down on the grass unable to cry. She unzipped her bag with a strange calmness, for some reason she knew that she would read something that would help her.

With that she turned to the date of the accident and stared. There had been no accident, with a shaking breath she started reading.

Dear Diary,
I am forced to go to some stupid camp today, am sitting in the bus next to stupid Mr.Ludwig...

(Name) stared at the book in front of her, her breath stuck in her throat, her head hurt at the jumble of thoughts she was thinking. Now what? Now what was she going to do? Nobody would believe her! It was a tiny bit unbelievable that there were people in the world who were ‘countries’ and she had gotten adopted by some sort freak ‘Germany’ guy.

Impossible.

But she believed it.

She groaned, and flopped back onto the grass, staring at the sky. WHAT THE HELL DO I DO? If she told the police they would say she was mental and send her off to an asylum, if she didn’t tell anybody then she would go mental...if she confronted the PE teacher...look at the size of him, you wouldn’t be able to take that giant down she scoffed to herself.
God, her head hurt, she closed her eyes for a while, then sat up. She didn’t want to end up going to sleep and waking up to the face of the PE teacher.

That stupid PE teacher, it was all his fault that she had ended up in this mess. But...he adopted me? Did that mean he...cared? (Name) thought for a while and her eyes darkened pfft, cared my backside, if he cared he wouldn’t let someone take my memory away...she sighed. How had they taken her memory away anyway? Was it even possible?
CURSE YOU BRAIN! All this thinking is driving me mental! (Name) sat up and stared at the fields around her. The sky was getting darker, she should try and get back to familiar places...not her orphanage obviously- he might be there. But...why would he be? He didn’t know that she knew so he wouldn’t care. That hurt. He didn’t care, and she was stuck in the orphanage for the rest of her miserable little life. He had dumped her back into the orphanage, he didn’t care...nobody did. Here she was, struggling to hold in all these stupid thoughts and yet she had nobody to go to.
(Name) stormed down the grass, shoving her hands in her pocket and stuffing her hat back on her head as it started raining. Damn it why was it raining! (Name) took in a deep breath alright, calm down (Name), screaming at the weather isn’t going to help.

The sky was now cloudy and grey, the rain had started falling down in bucket full’s in only a matter of seconds. (Name) started running to the nearest shelter, and couldn’t help being surprised at how easy it seemed. It was actually quite fun not to get all breathless in a matter of seconds.

(Name) sat down on the bus stop, curling her legs up and glaring at the passenger bys who had the courtesy to scurry away from her. She wasn’t that scary. Well, she did look a bit like a gangster with her hoody up, but...she didn’t care. She pulled the hoody further down over her face. She probably looked so pitiful, curled up on a bus stop looking homeless.
She didn’t know how long she sat there, staring at the rain pounding down on the glass above her when it seemed that there were hardly any passengers walking past. It must be pretty late- and she was hungry. It seemed as if everyone who was walking past was eating something of some sort. Oh food, something that never left her side...except when I’m hungry (Name) thought grumpily. Shut up tummy!

(Name)  didn’t see a man slump down next to her, shoving his hands in his pockets. He glanced at her then turned back to face the front. Poor girl, looks hungry he thought glancing back at her. He turned to his bag and started fumbling in his bag again, I’m sure I had a sandwich somewhere here he thought to himself. He pulled out a sandwich and nudged her. She seemed startled, as if she had been dropping off to sleep, which was dangerous to do for a girl her size to do in the middle of a quiet street.

She glanced at him and stared at the sandwich for a while, in the darkness it was hard to make out her face. She grumbled something and hesitated. She shook her head, then hesitated again as her tummy grumbled alongside her grumble. She seemed to give up in defeat and took the sandwich glancing up at the man.
Her hand froze on the sandwich but she took the sandwich quickly mumbling a quiet thanks and turning back to face the front.
(Name) opened the wrapper to the sandwich slowly, trying not to jump up and start running for her life. Her PE teacher was sitting next to her, or more like the ‘Germany’ guy who had adopted her and then dumped her back into the orphanage. What if he recognises me?? She thought to herself, biting into the sandwich. Oh wow, it was still warm and crispy, she suspected there was wurst inside and salad and oh it was so heavenly! Her thoughts were disrupted by someone’s voice.

“Are you planning to stay here?” The guy asked, his name was Ludwig she remembered. If she didn’t know who he was, she would probably think he was some kind of pedo who had drugged the sandwich.
“Mumble mumble” (Name) mumbled, if she spoke too loudly than he would know who she was, unless he had forgotten about her and adopted some other pitiful kid.
“It’s not safe” Ludwig said after a while, deciding he could not decode what she had said. “Are you waiting for someone? Is somebody coming to get you? You shouldn’t be out at this time you know, it’s dangerous” he frowned and (Name) could almost hear the disapproval in his voice.
“Mumble mumble” she explained in a series of mumbles. His frown deepened. It seemed like he didn’t like mumblers.
Alright, just stand up, try and act casual and then casually walk away and then casually start running- but casually (Name) thought. Great plan (Name) well done she congratulated herself. She stood up slowly, trying to stuff the sandwich in her mouth.
“Where are you going?” Ludwig asked “are you sure you should be out at this time?” (Name) didn’t reply and glanced back at him.
He couldn’t very well just stand up and stalk her could he? Better not wait to test that thought. (Name) started casually walking away, feeling somebody stare at the back of her head. RUN! RUN NOW!” her head screamed.
(Name) started running, the rain was pounding on her face so she could hardly see where she was going-
“YOU’RE RUNNING INTO THE ROAD YOU STUPID GIRL!” she heard someone yell behind her, his german accent growing- then her hoody flew off. There was a second of frozen silence when it seemed even the rain stopped raining and all she could hear was her dear adoptee standing up as if in slow motion.

Damn it!

She tried to run faster, jumping over the fence and onto the wet grass. Bad idea. She was now slipping and stumbling over muddy, wet, grass, trying not to fall face first onto the grass. And now her breathing was getting more ragged, she needed her inhaler- but that would waste time, and she couldn’t waste time. He was probably running after her.
She sped up, trying to ignore the pain in her chest, it seemed as if something dropped from her pocket, not that she could stop now and check. She kept running, faster, hardly feeling the little branches slapping he face. She couldn’t hear him, maybe she had lost him? She stumbled to a stop in front of a tree, sinking down and fumbling in her pocket for her inhaler. Oh dear Go where was her inhaler? Damn it damn it damn it!

“Is this what you’re looking for?” somebody asked quietly, holding her inhaler in front  of her.
(Name)’s heart sank, she didn’t want to look up. She took the inhaler, breathing in quietly, wondering if she could try and get away.
Suuuure, try and run now a voice at the back of her head taunted.
“Get up” Ludwig said. He didn’t seem breathless at all.
“I’m not going anywhere with you” (Name) spat.
“(Name)” Ludwig said tiredly.
“Oh so you still remember my name?” (Name)  asked sweetly and felt him wince in reply. H pulled her up and she wrenched her arm away. He didn’t have to ask if she had read her diary, he only wondered how much she had actually written in it.
“You know you shouldn’t run that much” he said quietly.
“Don’t pretend to care” came her cold reply.
“I do care (Name), I did-“
“Sure you care! Enough to dump me back into my orphanage and remove my memory or whatever you did” (Name) spat.
“If you don’t come yourself, I will pick you up and take you myself” Mr Ludwig said finally, his voice quiet.
“That’s illegal” (Name) snapped and so is injecting me with something which makes me lose my memory but he still did that she thought, and he seemed to be thinking the same thing.
Ludwig took her arm and started leading her out of the field. His car was a few meters away from the bus stop making (Name) wonder why he had been sitting on a bus stop if he had a car. She wrenched her arm away, and stuffed them in her pockets. He glanced at her and pulled the car door open.
(Name) hesitated, before sitting inside. Well what else was she supposed to do?
The car drive was silent, (Name) stared outside the window at the rain pounding against the window pane and soon her eyes started getting heavy. After a few minutes, she had fallen asleep.
“(Name)?”
(Name) opened her eyes and blinked, her eyes adjusting to the light. They were in front of a house, and she remembered the house. It was his house, and she remembered the dog, the dog which had ran up to her from the doorway.
“He missed you” Ludwig said. At least somebody missed me.
(Name) stood up and walked to the doorway. She didn’t know why she didn’t try and run away, maybe because there was no point.
The house was warm and smelt of food. Ludwig followed her inside, locking the door behind him. He gestured her to sit down whilst he went off to the kitchen.
(Name) slumped down on the sofa, staring at the fire flickering in the fireplace. She took her hoody off and looked around. Why did she remember the house? She shouldn’t really...but...she was staring to remember and it was giving her a head ache. All those trainings and runs in the park- basically what she had written in her diary but she actually remembered the feeling, how could he just throw her back into the orphanage? Stupid jerk.

Ludwig walked back inside carrying two plates of food. He placed the food in front of her and for a second she wondered whether it was poisoned. She swapped the plates and he gave her a look.
“It’s not poisoned (Name)” Ludwig muttered.
“Stop saying my name” (Name) snapped. He didn’t reply and started eating.
“Do you remember anything then?” he asked finally.
“No” (Name) snapped.
“What do you remember?” he asked ignoring her comment
“I just said nothing” (Name) glared at Ludwig, stuffing some food in her mouth. She didn’t care if it was poisoned, it tasted good.
“So what are you going to do, kill me?” she asked through a mouthful food.
“No, don’t be stupid” Ludwig snapped “dummkopf”
“Then what are you going to do?” (Name)  asked ignoring his comment.
“I don’t know” Ludwig mumbled.
“You just kidnapped me, I could just phone the police and they would take you away and that would be that” (Name) said.
“-except that you just told me your plan so I might never give you a phone and I could never go to prison, anyway, I can’t just get sent to prison”
“Why? Because you’re a country?” (Name) asked sarcastically.
There was a silence.
“Just have a bath and go to bed, we’ll talk about this tomorrow” Ludwig said standing up.
“I don’t trust you” (Name) said.
“I know” Ludwig said and he seemed...sad...sure he’s sad (Name) thought, brushing the thought away. “But you’ll find you don’t have much choice” he said.
(Name) sighed, standing up slowly and walking away. Why am I just doing what he says? I could jump out of the window or something...and get away...suuuure. (Name) thought. She walked up the stairs, and to the bathroom.
She felt she deserved a nice, long bath.
